You can put this one into the "Things I never expected when I started my autism/neurodiversity self-advocacy journey". I was contacted by the editors Porch.com about writing a 250 - 350 word piece to be included in a post about sensory rooms at Porch.com. It sounded like something interesting and the length fit the time I had available.
The post is a composite of pieces from a variety of people to give a full overview of the topic. My contribution is about 1/2 the way down the page. Check the post out. Here is the link:
