Tim's thoughts: This is one of those "Pinch me, am I dreaming?" moments. I never dreamed I would be on the board of a well known and highly respected national nonprofit organization. I always thought of being on a national board as something important people did. I was stunned when I was asked if I would consider joining the board. Normally being autistic is a challenge in the neurotypical world even though it has given me many unique strengths and allowed amazing accomplishments.

I feel my joining the board is a reflection of the Autism Society of America's new vision to have autistic individuals helping to guide them in supporting us autistics. Even more it show the expansion of their mission to support all autistics, not just autistic children and their parents. I am excited to use my background in tech, as an entrepreneur, and a tireless self-advocate to help influence new efforts and programs particularly in my specialty area of awareness, employment, and support for autistic adults.
